One of the city’s main arteries, Gran Vía, transform into a dazzling display of Christmas lights and illumination each holiday season. The brilliance and creativity of the design we install each year create an unfogerttable festive atmosphere for all who walk its streets. A famous element of Madrid’s Christmas is the large walk-through ball we install at the intersection of Alcala street and Gran Vía, featuring a lightshow for pedestrians to enjoy.
Each square and street have a special design that makes them unique
Puerta del Sol is another essential location to enjoy the Christmas lights. Each year, Ximenez Iluminación install a giant Christmas tree that becomes its focal point. The lights that adorn it and the exclusive project designed specifically for this location make it one of Madrid’s main meeting points during Christmas and one of the most iconic images of the season.
The Plaza Mayor, with its historic architecture and traditional charm, dresses up for Christmas with lights and decorations made and installed by Ximenez Iluminación.
Its balconies, facades and arches are adorned with garlands, rosettes and exclusive motifs, creating an image worthy of a fairy tale.
In addition to the iconic places in the center of Madrid, the city’s various neigbourhoods also dress up with their own Christmas lights. From shopping streets like Preciados to the cozy corners of neighbourhoods like Malasaña, La Latina o Chueca, each place has its own charm, reflected in its ambiance and Christmas lighting, where Ximenez Iluminación is also present.
